The Gospel

A study by Danny Bunn, B.A (a born again believer in the Lord Jesus Christ.)

         Welcome to the Power Hour

Today I will be talking about the Gospel.

God's
Overcoming
Saved
People
Entering
Life

         The gospel in a nutshell:
I Cor 15:3,4
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
It is the death, burial and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Eternal
Life.

Jesus said,
3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. (John 17:3)
Eternal life is knowing God, not knowing that there is a God since everyone knows that, it IS KNOWING God.

         Jesus talks about life.
"…I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." (John 10:10 last half)

L.I.F.E. can be defined as

Living
In
Fruitful
Evangelism

We are saved and left here to be used to see others entering into the life of God, to share with others the answer that we have found in the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the answer to everyone needs, hopes, and dreams, He is God and he is our only true hope.

Let's see this truth with the word of God. It says in…
John 15:1-8
1 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

Think about that people.
IF a branch is separated from the vine, the branch is dead or is dying. We as his branches can choose whether we are going to stay hooked ot the vine or NOT and we decide daily whether we walk to walk with the Lord of life or NOT.
A natural branch CAN'T just get up and leave the vine BUT in the supernatual it can OR we can, so to speak.

I would rather trust God and die THAN trust doctors and die. Healing is part of salvation.. Salvation is the Lord Jesus Christ and we must exercise faith in the Lord just as we exercise faith in the people around us daily. Jesus said have faith in God.
I think at least a 120,000 people die from doctors doing the wrong thing from legal drugs and around 90,000 die from the wrong drugs prescribed ot whatever.
ALL live by faith, what or who we trust in, we exercise faith in that person or thing. We live what we believe or we are hypocrites.

Let's read..
Matt 13:1-9
1 The same day went Jesus out of the house, and sat by the sea side.
2 And great multitudes were gathered together unto him, so that he went into a ship, and sat; and the whole multitude stood on the shore.
3 And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow;
4 And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up:
5 Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth:
6 And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.
7 And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them:
8 But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.
9 Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.
Jesus does this a lot, speaking in parables. It was prophesied that he would before he came.

         Jumping down to vs 18-23
18 Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower.
19 When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.
20 But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it;
21 Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.
22 He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.
23 But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.
A Christian can be any one of those types of ground at different times in his life. Our focus determines if we are good ground or bad ground, so to speak. to put it simply.

Keep in mind, that the gospel in a nutshell is the death, burial and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ for the sins of the world so that those who are born of him WILL rise from the dead and live again in a glorified body, NEVER to die again. We will rule and reign with him for all eternity.

NOW! I am going to show you the reason that I started this program the way I did. I saw this brother on YouTube that I am about to show you NOW.

He is the one that I was mimicking or imitating to a small degree like the new bbles are telling us to imitate Chirst Jesus which is nonsense.. Imitate mean to copy something, appear like, to resemble someone else. We are NOT called to be imitators of Christ but to be followers. If I wanted to imitate Christ, I would grow my hair out, put on a robe and wear sandals, and walk everywhere healing the sick, raising the dead, feeding thousands with a few fish and bread, preach the Sermon on the mount on a hillside, etc. then I would be imitating Christ Jesus BUT if I were his follower, I would obey him and minister his life and love to this lost, lonely sin sick world by walking in obedience to him as my Lord and life.

Jesus put it this way in Luke 9:23
23 And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
Here Jesus is telling us to die to self, carnal desires, lusts, etc and follow in his footsteps, ministering his life to this sin sick world.
