Open Letter to ACLJ (American Civil Law and Justice)
Dear Keith,
I was reading your article entitled, "Faith Under Fire". There are a lot of
people's faith that is under fire today. We all live by faith whether faith in our
spouse, our job, our country, our security even in sacraments, or religion, or faith
in a man who claims to stand in the place of Jesus, an 'alter chrisus'. There are
many things, people, or organizations that we put faith in but Jesus told us where
it needs to be, he said for us to have faith in God. You went on to talk about the
church buildings being burnt down all over the country and I agree that is sad.
I noticed that you brought Ralph Reed into the picture, he might be apologizing
for the sin of racism on the part of white Evangelism and I am sure that there were
whites evangelizing who were prejudiced and they need to get right with the Lord
themselves, Ralph Reed can't do it for them. I know if we are prejudiced then the
Lord can and will deal with that sin in his people if they are open to him, he
knows how to convict and bring about repentance so Ralph Reed can't truly
apologize for Christians since Christianity is ruled by Jesus Christ and not by Ralph
Reed. But this present pope can apologize for the Roman church killing all of the
Christians in the dark ages since the Roman church is run by a religious hierarchy
from the pope on down and not God. But it doesn't look like it will since the
Roman church claims to be a perfect church and cannot make mistakes, hence it
cannot repent.
I want to talk about the dark ages when the true church, (God's invisible Church
made visible as they minister life to the world) not church buildings but the true
Church, God's people were being burned at the stake by a political, Roman church
called the Roman Catholic church today. I'm sure you know this if you have read
any church history. They killed millions in the dark ages such as Wycliffe (Wyclif),
Huss, Wishart, Manz, Blaurock and many others. The Roman Catholics are still
killing Christians overseas today when they get the chance for sharing the true
gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. The present pope is going all over the world
bringing religions together not to the Lord Jesus Christ but under him. He is telling
them that they worship the same [G]od that he does. I am sure that is true but it
is not the same God that I worship nor any true born again believer. I am not
talking in hate or anything close to it. I love the Roman Catholic people and I go
to their church buildings to witness and share life that is only found in Jesus Christ.
This type of life is not found in Mary, in any church, in sacraments, in any form
of religious activity. It is found only in a person and his name is Jesus Christ. He
came in the flesh about 2,000 years ago and only he can forgive us and turn our
lives around for the better.
You talked about 'a Gospel of hope' and 'a message of peace' in your
newsletter but what mankind really needs is 'the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ,
the gospel of life' and only then can he have true peace and true hope. The word
of the Almighty God says, "But as many as received him, to them gave he power
to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:" John 1:12
Jesus tells us in John 10:10 that he came to give us life. It reads, "The thief cometh
not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have
life, and that they might have it more abundantly."
Religion seeks to replace what the Lord Jesus Christ did for us on the cross
with man made works, religious activities, etc. He and he alone did all that is
necessary for us to enter into his life. He is calling us and salvation is a free gift
and as I share with many people, "free is free and a gift is a gift". We can't earn
salvation but when we accept this particular gift which is a person, Jesus comes
into our lives and empowers us to live for him. Keith, my prayer for you is that
you might truly know the one who gave his life for you so that you can have
eternal life with him. His name is Jesus. The Bible says, "That at the name of Jesus
every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under
the earth;
And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of
God the Father." Phil 2:10, 11
Turn to Jesus in humility and repentance and he will come into your life, cleanse
you and forgive you because of his great love for you. Thanks for taking the time
