Roman Catholic Beliefs- Part 18- Mary Crushed Satan's head???

Part 18 of "Cathechism Chat"

Jesus said, "Search the scriptures, for you think in them to have life everlasting; and the same are they that give testimony of me. And you will not come to me that you may have life."

I praise the Lord that I have been saved by his precious blood and he made me a new creature. The more that I study cults and see the emptiness of their religion and the hopelessness within it, the more that I so thankful for what he did for me on the cross. I praise him over and over for his finished work. I just finished reading something in The Documents of Vatican II by Walter M. Abbott, S.J. that I have read before but my eye didn't catch it until this time. It says in paragraph 55 on page 87 approximately halfway down, "These earliest documents, as they are read in the Church and are to be understood in the light of a further and full revelation, bring the figure of the woman, Mother of the Redeemer, into a gradually sharper focus. When looked at in this way, she is already prophetically foreshadowed in that victory over the serpent which was promised to our first parents after their call into sin (cf. Gen. 3:15)."

They used Genesis 3:15 and I asked myself why. I turn to the Book of Genesis and read Chapter 3, verse 15 in the Roman Catholic Bible, Douay Version and it says, "I will put enmities between thee and the woman, and thy seed and her seed: she shall crush thy head and thou shalt lie in wait for her heel." This is totally false, Mary doesn't touch Satan, she knows better. Jesus is the one who will bruise Satan's head and he did when he took the power that Satan had over mankind by his death, burial, and resurrection from the dead and that is when Satan bruised Jesus' heel on the cross not Mary's. Satan will never recover from his defeat at the cross, he was bruised forever. The true word of God puts it this way in Genesis 3:15, it says, "15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel." "[H]is heel" is Jesus' heel.

They attempt to clear it up by their footnote but it was still false even though the footnote had a little more truth than the verse had but still a little bit of truth mixed with a lie is still a lie. Remember Satan is a liar and the father of it. Jesus, God in human flesh is the one who came and suffered and died for you not Mary. Give the Lord Jesus Christ your life, only he can set you free. A false religious system like Roman Catholicism can't save not even a true religious system can but Jesus Christ can and will. Ask him to forgive you, cleanse you and he will come in and give you everything that you need to live for him.
