This city, continent, planet, and universe...

...belong to God, do you? A city, continent, planet, or universe doesn't have a will, you do. God has given mankind the ultimate choice and that choice is accepting or rejecting him. In accepting him, you'll experience the highest form of life possible. In rejecting him, you'll experience hell to a large degree while living here on planet earth and when you die you'll experience hell for all eternity. You have probably heard the expression, "Hell on earth" and that is because of sin too! Things like AIDS, V.D., hangovers, hate, greed, lust, fear, loneliness, emptiness, drugs destroying your mind, always trying to get more money to get more drugs. It's an endless cycle and you are never satisfied. But the real hell is even worse and God does not want you to go there but it is your home if you reject his free gift in Jesus Christ. God actually became a man so that he might bring us back to himself by his death on the cross. Sin is destroying this old world and that is what he came to free us from.

Salvation, eternal life is a free gift but you have to accept that gift for it to be yours. I can offer you a million dollars but it is not yours until you reach out and accept it. It's the same way with God, if you see yourself as a sinner (Remember the Bible says, 'For all have sinned..') then ask Jesus to forgive you and come into your life to help you live victoriously over sin. He will, he promises. He says, All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.(John 6:37) And those the Father gives the Son are those who come in his way not our many ways like doing good works, putting money in the offering plate, praying everyday, or whatever else I might name. It's not even in what you are not doing like not having sex outside of marriage, not smoking, not drinking, not cussing, etc.

In verses 28,29 of John 6, we read, "Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? "Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent." Believing on the Son is a heart belief and that is receiving him into your life and he will make you a new creature. He'll give you the strength, the desire, the courage to live for him. But most of all you'll have a purpose worth living for, not just existing, just getting by day to day. There is a verse in the Bible that says, "This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it." (Psalm 118:24) We most certainly can because we have something to rejoice about. The Almighty, the Creator lives within his people as we see in II Cor 6:16, "And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people."

And when we are born of his Spirit we have the privilege, the awesome responsibility to share with others this glorious life that he has given us.
"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him."(II Cor 5:17-21)

And we'll see this truth not only in the Bible but in our lives as an experiential truth, a reality as we submit to God and resist the devil, he will flee.' (Check James 4:7) Sure, as Christians, we are in a battle with unseen principalities and powers but the victory is ours, as we stand in faith looking to the Lord, the Author and Finisher of our faith. He'll give you true purpose for being here, to fight for others in prayer, to help others, just to give of ourselves and in so doing through Jesus, we die to live. Die to our sin nature that wants, wants, and wants more but our spirit man when we are born of God, wants to give and keep right on giving. As you grow in the Lord Jesus, you'll see your desires change for the better as you renew your mind through his word.
"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
"And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. (Romans 12:1,2)
Then we won't have the same problem that Satan had with his eyes (I's). He had eye (I) problems. He said in Isaiah 14,
"I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms; (Check verses 13-16)

I started quoting here where Satan is talking in the last part of verse 13. If you check back to verse 12, we see that God is talking about Lucifer, Satan's name before he fell from heaven and God tells Lucifer/Satan what is going to happen to him for his rebellion.
He was near-sighted. All he could see was himself and how fanastic he thought he was. Yet God had to put him in his rightful place and his rightful place surely can't be with God now, so hell was brought into existence. It was created for the devil and his angels and only them but those who reject God's free gift of everlasting life in Jesus will live for all eternity with the devil in hell, if you want to call that living- I don't. But you will be existing. Just remember God made a way out, not only a way out but He also gave the highest form of life possible with it. Hallelujah!
