Mormon Beliefs- Part 5- The Mormon Church's view of Christians or the true church

"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." (John 14:6)

Jesus did not say I, Joseph Smith and a host of other false prophets are the way, the truth, and the life." He just mentioned himself without anyone else included. So come to him today for that full and abundant life that you so badly need. The message today will be for the Mormons mainly but the salvation that Jesus offers is for everyone.

I will be quoting from the Book of Mormon, The Seer and also what they have to say about us (those who are Christians) in the Mormon temples. Okay now, going to 1 Nephi Ch.13:6, "And it came to pass that I beheld this great and abominable church; and I saw the devil that he was the foundation of it."

Then jumping down to v.32 which says, "Neither will the Lord God suffer that the Gentiles shall forever remain in that awful state of blindness, which thou beholdest they are in, because of the most plain and precious parts of the gospel of the Lamb which have been kept back by that abominable church whose formation thou hast seen."

From here we go to 1 Nephi 14:10 which says, "And he said unto me:Behold there are save two churches only; the one is the church of the Lamb of God, and the other is the church of the devil; wherefore, whosoever belongeth not to the church of the Lamb of God belongeth to that great church which is the mother of abominations; and she is the whore of all the earth."

So logically speaking if we don't belong to the church of the Lamb of God then we belong to the church of the devil.

Now let's go to another source outside of the Book of Mormon but it is a Mormon approved book written by a Mormon authority and apostle, Orson Pratt, to find out who that great and abominable church is. In his book, The Seer on page 255 we read these words, "All other churches are entirely destitute of authority from God; and any person who receives Baptism or the Lord's Supper from their hands will highly offend God; for He looks upon them as the most corrupt of all people. Both Catholics and Protestants are nothing less than the whore of Babylon whom the Lord denounces by the mouth of John the Revelator as having corrupted all the earth by their fornications and wickedness. And any person who shall be so wicked as to receive a holy ordinance of the gospel from the ministers of any of these apostate churches will be sent down to hell with them, unless they repent of the unholy and impious act."
To be half right isn't well enough. Sure the Catholic Church's teachings are an abomination but the Lord loves those people and He wants to draw them out, set them free. A lot of Protestants don't even know when they got the title "Protestant" or why. It's because they protested and rejected a Roman Catholic dictatorship. We need to get back to our roots and that's the Bible, the word of God.

Anyway back to Mormon documents, in one of their standard works, The Pearl of Great Price, Joseph Smith, Ch. 2: 18,19 talks about Joseph Smith supposedly going before the Lord and asking him which church should he join.
"My object in going to inquire of the Lord was to know of which of all the sects was right, that I might know which to join. No sooner, therefore, did I get possession of myself, so as to be able to speak, then I asked the Personages that stood above me in the light, which of all the sects was right and which should I join.
I was answered that I must join none of them, for they were all wrong: and the Personage who addressed me said all their creeds were an abomination in his sight; that 'they draw near to me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.' "

In the Mormon temple ceremony, they have Satan going up to a Christian preacher and telling him "If you preach your orthodox religion to these people and convert them, I will pay you well."
So we see by Mormonism that Satan is the one who pays Christian preachers to preach the Gospel that we believe. (1)

And they keep telling me over and over that they don't cut down other churches and that is almost all that they do, they are only here for one purpose to draw people into the light of their gospel. My question is what light, what gospel? Gospel means 'good news'. There isn't any good news about working your way to supposedly godhood, Satan worked his way there, if you want to call that god? I don't. Light exposes darkness and Mormons can't talk about all their works of darkness that goes on within the temple like the secret signs and handshakes, five points of fellowship, their film where the Christian God is being made fun of in their endowment ceremonies, etc. and so many other things.

Why?? It just can't be anything but blindness, blinded by Satan. And God loves those people so much, but he is reaching out to them through his people, those born of him. So if you are really born of God, if you have truly received Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior then ask the Lord, what does he wants you to do in reference to the cults. All Christians are called to be witnesses to the Truth and he is Truth. Please don't use the cop-out that so many Christians have used with me, "Well, that's just not my calling?" God has called all Christians to be witnesses with their mouth and their life. Don't be separating the two. And don't be afraid, God says that he will give you the words to say and the courage, just trust him. He'll do what he promises. He really loves those people so very, very much and if you truly know him in a personal and intimate way then I know that you love them too, so step out. I John 3:18 says, "My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth."

Religion
The Mormon Gender Gap
Since its founding in 1830, Mormonism has remained a religion dominated by males steeped in missionary zeal and protective by the secrets of its sacred temples. Last week, the secrecy was breached by reports of a rare change in temple rituals to eliminate parts deemed offensive to women and members of other faiths.
Leaders of the 7.3 million- member Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints quietly dropped a vow in which women pledge to obey their husbands. The husbands, in turn, vow obedience to God. Also cut was a portrayal, in a re-enactment of the story of creation and life on earth, of a non-Mormon preacher as Satan's agent. Both were part of the "endowment" ritual a Mormon must go through to be assured of eternal life. It is performed not in ordinary churches but in 43 temples open to the most devout. The changes, announced to church members in April without explanation, leaked to the press last week. Rapid membership growth worldwide is forcing the church to adapt some of its 19th-century practices to modern sensibilities, some prominent Mormons say. In 1978, the church ended its ban on blacks in the priesthood. Many women have stayed away from the temple because they felt "discomfort and alienation," says Lavina Fielding Anderson, editor- elect of the Journal of Mormon History. While women's rights advocates applaud the reforms, they say the church has a long way to go. Women are still barred from the priesthood and from top leadership posts and are excluded from participating in child- christening ceremonies.

Editorial Note:
A man-made religion has to change with the changing times. The above article is an example of another change. The Mormons have made over 4,000 changes in the Book of Mormon, they allowed blacks into the priesthood when Brigham Young said, "...when one ounce of black blood enters the Mormon Temple, the true church is taken from this planet and God leaves us to our fate." Look for the Mormon woman to be able to be a part of the priesthood in the near future. The Mormon Church is making some fairly decent changes but it has a long way to go to become the Church that God is looking for. A Church that recognizes Jesus as the one and only way to heaven. To know that salvation is a free gift. When you accept this free gift, God comes into your life and he makes you a new creature and gives you everything that you need to live for him.
