Some Differences in the NIV compared to the KJV! Words, whole verses left
out, changed, etc.

Matt. 5:22--
"22. But I tell you that anyone who is angry with his brother
will be in subject to the judgment." NIV
"22. But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his
brother without a cause shall be in danger of the
judgment:" KJV
Jesus is in trouble based on this verse in the NIV. KJV
makes it plain that it is in reference to those who are angry
with their brother without a cause. The Bible tells us to be
angry and sin not in Eph 4:26, "Be ye angry, and sin not: let
not the sun go down upon your wrath:" A righteous anger is not
sin.
Matt. 6:13--
"13. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the
evil one."NIV
"13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil:
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and
the glory, for ever. Amen." KJV
Check the footnote in the NIV. They took out "for thine is
the kingdom and the power and the glory forever.
Amen" Could it be that it casts more doubt on the KJV and on the
word as a whole? They're liars, plain and
simple.
Even using this verse and the part that they left. Which is
correct? "..deliver us from the evil one" or
"..deliver us from evil." If we are delivered from the evil one,
we are not delivered from evil but we are delivered from the evil
one when we are delivered from evil.
Matt. 6:33--
"33.But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all
these things will be given to you as well." NIV
"33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness;
and all these things shall be added unto you."
KJV
Who's kingdom? his, who else's. Isn't 'kingdom of God'
clearer as the KJV puts it?
Matt. 9:13--
"13.... I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners."NIV
"13.... I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to
repentance." KJV
Why is "to repentance' left out? It is probably not important,
he just came to call sinners to supper or something. (Cf.) Luke 13:3.
Matt. 9:18--
"18.While he was saying this, a ruler came and knelt before him
and said, 'My daughter has just died. But
come and put your hand on her, and she will live.'" NIV
"18.While he spake these things unto them, behold, there came a
certain ruler, and worshipped him, saying,
My daughter is even now dead: but come and lay thy hand upon
her, and she shall live." KJV
The KJV lets us know that the ruler worshipped Jesus yet
the NIV shows us the ruler knelt. People have
knelt before people but it isn't worship.
Matt. 16:18--
"18. 'And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will
build my church, and the gates of hades will not
overcome it.'" NIV
"18. And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon
this rock I will build my church; and the gates of
hell shall not prevail against it." KJV
In the footnote of my NIV, it says, 'Peter means rock'.
What they want is you to associate the rock that
Jesus is building His Church on with Peter. Jesus wasn't saying
that. He uses a different Greek word for Peter
(Petros) and the rock on which he is going to build His Church
is (Petra) and Jesus is called the Petra in the
Bible in I Cor. 10:4 to name one.
Matt. 17:21--
21." " NIV
"21. Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting."

Taken out, it's in the footnote in my NIV.
Mark 5:6--
"6. When he saw Jesus from a distance, he ran and fell on his
knees in front of him." NIV
"6. But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him,"
KJV
The guy fell?! To fall on your knees isn't worship
either.
Mark 7:16--
16." "NIV
"16. If any man have ears to hear, let him hear." KJV
I think that Westcott and Hort didn't like that verse
since they were kind of like the Pharisees and
Sadducees of Jesus' day, they didn't have ears to hear so it
went to the footnote.
Mark 11:26--
26." " NIV
"26. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is
in heaven forgive your trespasses." KJV
They put it in the footnote but at least they left it in
Matt. 6:15.
Luke 2--
"33.The child's mother and father marveled at what was said
about him." NIV
"48.When his parents saw him, they were astonished. His mother
said to him, 'Son, why have you treated us
like this? Your father and I have been anxiously searching for
you.'"
"'49.Why were you searching for me?' he asked, 'Didn't you know
that I had to be in my Father's house?'" NIV
"33. And Joseph and his mother marvelled at those things which
were spoken of him. KJV
"48.And when they saw him, they were amazed: and his mother said
unto him, Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us? behold, thy father
and I have sought thee sorrowing.
"49.And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye
not that I must be about my Father's business?" KJV
Verse 33 is speaking from God's viewpoint, hence the NIV
isn't true regarding father. Verse 48 is speaking from Mary's viewpoint,
Joseph is Jesus's step-father. Verse 49, Jesus said that he must be
about his Father's business, not house. Jesus tells who is Father is,
God by the statement and by his life in the word, we see that he wasn't
at the temple much.
Luke 4:3,4--
"3.The devil said to him, 'If you are the Son of God, tell this
stone to become bread.'
4. Jesus answered, 'It is written:'Man does not live on bread
alone.'"NIV
(A side of potatoes goes good with bread.)
"3. And the devil said unto him, If thou be the Son of God,
command this stone that it be made bread.
4.And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall
not live by bread alone, but by every word
of God." KJV
Know that you don't live by bread alone, we need some
spiritual milk in the NIV. Compare KJV. (cf.) I Peter 2:2
Luke 4:18--
"18. The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me
to preach the good news to the poor. He has
sent me to proclaim freedom to the prisoners and recovery of
sight for the blind, to release the oppressed," NIV
"18. The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed
me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath
sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the
captives, and recovering of sight to the blind,
to set at liberty them that are bruised," KJV
Why did they leave out "to heal the broken-hearted", it's in
Isa.61:1,2 he is quoting from.
Luke 9:31--
"31. appeared in glorious splendor, talking with Jesus. They
spoke about his departure, which he was about
to bring to fulfillment at Jerusalem." NIV
"31.Who appeared in glory, and spake of his decease which he
should accomplish at Jerusalem." KJV
He came to die for the sins of the world, not to depart
for the sins of the world. Which is clearer?
John 6:47--
"47. I tell you the truth, he who believes has everlasting
life." NIV
"47.Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath
everlasting life." KJV
Believes what? Isn't 'on me' clearer? I 'believe' that it
is going to rain so I'm saved.
Acts 2:38--
"38. Peter replied, 'Repent and be baptized, everyone of you, in
the name of Jesus Christ so that your sins may
be forgiven. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."
NIV ('78 edition)
"38. Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every
one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the
remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy
Ghost." KJV
In the '78 edition it's wrong, changed in the newer
editions. We don't get baptized to get forgivenss of sins, we get baptized
for the remission of sins. QUESTION: If you took an aspirin for a headache,
do you take it to get a headache or because you already have one? Do you get baptized whether in water or the Holy Spirit to get remission of sins or because you already have
it?
Acts 4:31--
"31. Stretch out your hand to heal and perform miraculous signs
and wonders through the name of your holy
servant Jesus." NIV
"31. By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and
wonders may be done by the name of thy holy
child Jesus." KJV
Is Jesus a servant of God or His child (Cf.) John 3:16
Acts 8:37--
37." " NIV
"37. "And Philip said, If thou believeth with all thine heart,
thou mayest. And he answered and said, I
believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God." KJV
It is out but at least it made it to the footnote in some
NIV's.
Acts 9:6(a)--
"6. " " NIV
"6. "And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou
have me to do? And...."
It's out, it's not even in the footnote of the NIV that I have.
(Cf.)Acts 22:10 So Paul asked a question that Jesus answered that is
not in the NIV.
Also check out Romans 10:9,10 in regards to Acts 8 & 9
Rom. 14:9-12-- (cf.) Phil. 2:10,11; Acts 22:16
"9. For this very reason, Christ died and returned to life so
that he might be the Lord of both the dead and the
living.
10. You then, why do you judge your brother? Or why do you look
down on your brother? For we will all stand
before God's judgment seat.
11. It is written: 'As surely as I live,' says the Lord, 'Every

NIV
"9. For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived,
that he might be Lord both of the dead and living.
10. But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at
nought thy brother? for we shall all stand
before the judgment seat of Christ.
11. For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee
shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to
God.
12. So then every one of us shall give account of himself to
God."KJV
The KJV shows us Christ is God, the NIV shows us God is God,
which we already know.
II Cor. 2:17--
"17. Unlike so many, we do not peddle the word of God for
profit. On the contrary, in Christ we speak before
God with sincerity, like men sent from God." NIV
"17. For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but
as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight
of God speak we in Christ." KJV
The NIV shot the 'Christian' Bookstores to pieces with this
verse, it's better to make them bite the bullet
than the so-called scholars of the NIV and they are corrupting
their bible.
Eph. 5:9--
"9.(for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness,
righteousness and truth)NIV
"9.(For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and
righteousness and truth;)KJV
Sounds pretty New Age, doesn't it? NIV- 'the light', KJV-
'the Spirit'
Phil. 3:3--
"3. For it is we who are the circumcision, we who worship by the
Spirit of God.." NIV
"3. For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the
spirit,.." KJV
Check John 4:24.
Which is clearer, 'worship God in the Spirit' or 'worship
by the Spirit of God'. Which would false religions
like better?
Col. 1:14--
"14. in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins." NIV
"14. In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the
forgiveness of sins:
(Cf.) Eph. 1:7-- His blood is not important, is it? Also
Acts 20:28
Col. 2:8--
"8. See to it that no one takes you captive through hallow and
deceptive philosophy, which depends on human
tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on
Christ." NIV
"8. Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain
deceit, after the tradition of men, after the
rudiments of the world, and not after Christ." KJV
This is being done today.
