I planted, Another watered, God gave the increase.

Read all of I Corinthians 3 in context in the KJV so you can follow better what I am talking about.

I Corinth 3:6
6 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.

In the above verse we see what people are doing and what God is doing. God works with mankind and as they submit to God and resist the devil then God is using them for his glory. We cannot do anything in ourselves, we don't have what it takes to do God's work down here by our own strength and power. He tells us over and over all through the word that he wants our submission to his word and his voice and he will use us. God gave his people the accountability and responsibility to accomplish things for his glory while we are here, to minister life to the world full of people who are dead in sin. THIS IS his greatest calling for Christians. They are called ambassadors for a purpose. That is one of the highest callings that God can give a person, to represent him on planet earth. NOW that is incredible.

II Corinth 5:20
20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.

God left us here to represent him and his kingdom. We are in a land that is NOT our home anymore after we have been born again of his Spirit. We are called to stand in the gap for people that we talk to daily, to minister truth to them, to help them, to encourage them. Just keep in mind that everyone you see or talk to IS another person that Jesus Christ came and died for to set them free too.

Christians are in a war zone and MOST do not even know it, they are fellowshipping with the enemies of the light. Remember Jesus said he was the light of the world. We as believers in the Lord Jesus Christ are NOT to fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness and it looks like most are doing just that in this lukewarm church age as the bible has foretold. God calls us to fight the fight and run the race for a reason. He told us to wear the armour of God for a reason. All the scriptures are for a reason, to show us that we are in a war zone. God is NOT asking us, he is TELLING us what to do and he furnishes us with the equipment that we need to use us for his glory.

Don't be a shell shock loser, be an overcomer, a victorious warrior, for the King of kings. Don't let Satan walk over you, walk over him. Walk in the Spirit and you will overcome.

Acts 1
"8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth."

In the above verse we see that God gives Christians, believers, power from on high to be his witnesses. It does NOT say he gave us power to go to fellowships or bible studies, prayer meetings and a host of other things BUT to be his WITNESSES. I am not saying those other things are not important or needed. I AM saying that he left us here and wants to furnish us with POWER to be his WITNESSES. He did not say he left us here to go to bible studies, fellowships, and prayer meetings. Those things if rightly done can or should help us be better witnesses. The main focus should always to be his witness and if doing those other things makes you are beter witness in this world than by all means do them BUT if you are NOT a better witness in this world then quit those other activities, they are not doing you any good.

Matt 4:19
19 And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.

NOW lets get a little insight from this verse. Jesus Christ is talking and he says to follow him and he WILL make you fishers of men. SO are you out seeking to catch mankind and bring them into the kingdom of God. Even if you are catching men or women don't give up, keep fishing. Jeremiah did NOT catch any fish or men ot the kingdom but he was NOT a quitter, he kept fishing since he wanted to be obedient to his God, his Lord, his life He did NOT want to just exist while he was here, he wanted to live for God, no matter what happened.

John 8
31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Based on Jesus' words here who did Jesus say were his disciples? He said those who continue in his word are his disciples and those are the ones who will be set free for eternity. He did NOT apply those words to those "who believed" but quit believing later on. God was telling those who continue in his word, his truth are the ones will be set free. He did not apply those words to those who quit believing, quit continuing in his word. He SAID those who CONTINUE in his word ARE his disciples.
