Christ-mas[s] is almost here...

Charles H. Spurgeon on Christmass

We have no superstitious regard for times and seasons. Certainly, we do not believe in the present ecclesiastical arrangement called Christmas: first, because we do not believe in the mass at all, but abhor it, whether it be said or sung in Latin or in English; and, secondly, because we find no Scriptural warrant whatever for observing any day as the birthday of the Saviour; and, consequently, its observance is a superstition, because not of divine authority. Superstition has fixed most positively the day of our Saviour's birth, although there is no possibility of discovering when it occured. Fabricius gives a catalogue of 136 different learned opinions upon the matter; and various divines invent weighty arguments for advocating a date in every month of the year.

It was not till the middle of the third century that any part of the church celebrated the nativity of our Lord, and it was not till very long after the Western church had set the example that the Eastern adopted it. Because the day is not known, therefore superstition has fixed it; while, since the death of our Saviour might be determined with much certainty, therefore superstition shifts the date of its observance every year.

Where is the method in the madness of the superstitious? Probably the fact is that the holy days were arranged to fit in with the heathen festivals. We venture to assert, that if there be any day in the year, of which we may be pretty sure that it was not the day on which the Saviour was born, it is the twenty-fifth of December.
From a sermon delivered on the Lord's Day morning, 24th December, 1871 at the Metropolitan Tabernacle, Newington, London

        THINK OF SANTA CLAUS....
"Kris[s} Kringle" means "Christ child" in German-- Kris Kringle is another name for Santa Claus...
"Santa in spanish means "Holy"...
So we see using these words that we have a "Holy Claus"
This guy is a really religious fellow...
Since "Santa Claus" is really St. Ni'cholas' [Claus], (is a nickname for Nicholas), He was a Roman Catholic Bishop then you know that he is religious...In turn, holy or at least by the world's definitions. Also remember that a Roman Catholic Bishop wears red clothing...
Gayle and I were talking about this and she said, "Oh yea, remember "Santa Maria" means "Holy Mary".

SANTA, THE SHAMAN

Santa is often looked upon favorably as a jolly old man giving gifts to little children and keeping the "magic" of Christmas alive. Millions of parents will spend the first 6 to 8 years of their children's lives telling them this lie, going to great lengths to prove it, and inevitably crushing them with the truth. But the height of this hypocrisy is that they will then ask this same child to help them continue this lie to pamper the younger siblings in the household. Alas, we lie and teach our children to lie. How then can one expect honesty?

Santa is nothing more than a myth perpetrated by a demonic force that has been around for thousands of years deceiving men in various forms, although one author (not Christian) is amazed at the similarities of this shamanic spirit.

"It has never ceased to amaze me that Herne/Pan existed almost unchanged for some 10,000 years."

SIDE NOTE...
"Hermes: Alias 'Satan'
"As a Cambridge undergraduate, Westcott organized a club and chose for its name 'Hermes'.(8) The designation is derived from "the god of magic. . .and occult wisdom, the conductor of Souls to Hades,. . .Lord of Death. . .cunning and trickery.

"The medieval legend that witches made the sign of the cross upside down. . .began with worshippers of Hermes. . .To Hermes Trismegister, texts were added later to the growing body of semi-secret devilish arts which commanded more and more attention of European intellectuals. . .Hermes became the god within sought by all religious philosophers of the Gnostic period. Neoplatonist philosophers called Hermes 'the Logos'.(9)

"(Westcott and Hort's neoplatonism will be discussed in Chapter 38, (NEW AGE BIBLE VERSIONS) ). In her Secret Doctrine, Luciferian H.P. Blavatsky identifies Hermes as Satan.

"Satan or Hermes are all one. . .He is called the Dragon of Wisdom. . .the serpent. . .identical with the god Hermes. . .inventor of the first initiation of men into magic. . .the author of serpent worship.(10)

"Blavatsky's logo, a serpent biting its tail, represents Hermes. The portrait that history paints of Hermes looks remarkably like Westcott; they both, "succeed in charming the giant to sleep," "put lies into her mouth," "plunged the Greeks into slumber with the aid of his magic wand, with which he made drowsy the eyes of mortals."(11) Blavatsky's Theosophical Glossary's entry on 'Hermes' (which interestingly was written by a 'Brother Westcott') reveals him to be "the sacred scribe of the gods.(12) "

BACK TO THE ARTICLE...
"We first saw him in prehistoric cave drawings in the Dordogne, and when we saw him again in the seventeenth-century illustration, he had not changed one bit. He was still standing, with his musical instrument, in his animal skins, masked and horned; dancing the Dance of Life while aggressively displaying his manhood. He was truly the Spirit of Nature, the raw Spirit of Life [obvious blasphemy] letting his light shine brightly in that short interval between birth and death. He survived the next three centuries, but was gradually silenced, sanitized, castrated, dehorned and finally - as his Dance of Life was slowed to a crawl - was presented to us in shopping malls: boozy, old, overweight, grey, and even worse (thanks to Big Business), `cute' [but nonetheless, the same spirit]" (When Santa was a Shaman, Renterghem).

"A shaman is nothing more than a wizard practicing witchcraft, and Santa Claus is quite the master shaman. Not only does he fly (a boasted practice of many a witch), but he goes down the chimney just as the shamanic spirit of old. In the book, The Story of Santa Klaus, we read:

"From the earliest days of Christianity, the policy of missionaries had always been to adapt and incorporate pagan customs by giving them Christian interpretation and meaning. And the Arctic was no exception, Nikolai [St.Nicholas], became a super Shaman, a spiritual time-traveller, a mystic go-between for the people and their new Christian God. On his visits to the reindeer people, like the Shaman - and indeed everyone else - he came and went through the chimney - literally - in a cloud of smoke! Nikolai Chudovorits is now little more than a folk memory. But in the dark, midwinter of 200 years ago he was flying high on magic mushrooms, carrying gifts for the Gods on his supernatural reindeer sledge and returning to the mortal world down the chimney" (p.35).

"Offerings were made to the god Odin (who also came down from the north bearing gifts), to ensure prosperity in human and animal reproduction as well as crop growth for the coming year. Santa also receives offerings of cookies and milk, but in our "enlightened" society, a toast with eggnog or alcohol and words of prosperity such as "Happy New Year" and "Best Wishes" are offered instead. (James 5:13- 17) Santa's predecessor, Sinterklaas often received a glass of gin as an offering for the "good saint", and his horse received offerings of hay or carrots (some children are taught to leave treats for the reindeers)."

Another word game using the word of God..
Zech. 2:6
"6 Ho, ho, come forth, and flee from the land of the north, saith the LORD: for I have spread you abroad as the four winds of the heaven, saith the LORD."
Where does "Satan Claws", I mean "Santa Claus" come from???
The North Pole and he come saying "Ho, ho, ho".

Now a little more serious note...

Job 34
"21 For his eyes are upon the ways of man, and he seeth all his goings.
22 There is no darkness, nor shadow of death, where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves."
In context, God's eyes are upon the ways of man but ... remember Satan Claws, I mean Santa Claus, "He knows if you've been bad or good so be good for goodness sake..."
You better not pout, you better not cry, you better not shout
I'm telling you why Santa Claus is coming to town...

        Santa is coming back...
Who do Christians say is coming back???

I know of a lot of Christians(?) who are looking for Satan Claws, I mean Santa Claus to come back not Jesus Christ
.

Eph. 4:8
"8 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men."
Who ascended on high and gave gifts to men??? Jesus?
No, Satan Claws, I mean Santa Claus...Remember his sleigh and 8 tiny reindeer...

NOW the word of God IN CONTEXT..
.
Jeremiah 10:1-5
1 Hear ye the word which the LORD speaketh unto you, O house of Israel:
2 Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.
3 For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the ax.
4 They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.
5 They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good.

"This clearly shows that the custom of bringing in a tree and decorating it is associated with the signs of the heaven -- the winter solstice in this case -- and the Lord God does not want His people learning to do these things. Added to this is the fact that when Israel went into apostasy they sacrificed under green trees and God punished them for it.

Ezekiel 6:13 ' Then shall ye know that I am the LORD, when their slain men shall be among their idols round about their altars, upon every high hill, in all the tops of the mountains, and under every green tree, and under every thick oak, the place where they did offer sweet savour to all their idols."
Offering sweet savours to idols under a green tree does sound somewhat like putting presents under a "Christmas tree" does it not? "
(Evergreens and the Christmas Tree-Balamns Ass)

I actually heard someone tell me once that the Christmas[s] tree has something to do with Christianity but I never heard what it was. I did hear someone else tell me that it signifies "eternal life". That was strange, the tree died...

I Peter 2:24 DOES SAY...
"24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed."
        That tree wasn't a Christ-mas tree, I guarantee. It was a cross..

. I Cor. 1:18
"18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God."

IN CLOSING...
Luke 12:19,20
"19 And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry.
20 But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?"
I was reading an article when they started celebrating Christmas that it was "Happy Christmas" but now it is "Merry Christmas"... I guess we can eat, drink and be merry for tomorrow we die.

Christmas time is a sad, sick joke. A time of suicides, drunkeness, etc. One of the saddest times of the year for most... A time of getting deeper in debt, buying kids things they don't need or want (except for maybe a few people these days)...
Larry Norman's song goes, '...The kids are getting greedy cause they saw it on the tv, it's Christmas time..."

It has nothing to do with Christ Jesus but with our own greedy sinful flesh. Even those who are getting enjoyment out of it are usually miserable the next few days, weeks and months with the hangover, the bills, the messes, the waste, the emptiness is still there and they don't understand why.. Only the Lord Jesus Christ can fill the emptiness and heal the heart ache. He is a prayer away from those who see their need.
