Chapter 7
Darkness and light can't live together
Joe gets home and he talks about his day at work and all the
things that he and Clyde talked about. Joe starts talking about
some dark things over the horizon such as a one world order, the
mark of the beast, a corrupt and evil church run by Satan himself
that will bring the religions together. He talks about how Clyde
was telling him the miracle of God bringing the Jews back to
Israel and end time events have been coming together ever so
quickly since then. He mentions how the Bible talks about
200,000,000 men will come against Israel in the very last days
and how China has close to that many men now and there wasn't
that many men on this planet when it was written. The Bible says
the kings of the east so it will probably be Korea and some other
countries too but the amount needed is already here. He talks
about how China has been practicing their form of birth control,
aborting babies after the girl has one. How China now has seven
boys to one girl and the government sees that it is a big problem
that has to be dealt with and they don't know. How this world is
getting worse and worse all the time and the problem is sin, man
wanting his way.
Joe and Cindy chat back and forth as if they just met each
other for the first time, thrilled with life and glad that they
are friends. They talk about the love of God, seeking to
understand the mercy and patience of God. How could he be so
incredible, they could not put that piece of the puzzle together
but they knew that he was. After about 2 hours at the table,
Cindy gets up to wash the dishes. Joe goes into the living room
to read some verses that Clyde gave him to meditate on and to
memorize. He starts going over some of verses, it is a memory
system that Clyde gave him to read. He gets to Eph. 5:3 which
says, "But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let
it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;" His mind
goes to Cindy. He remembered last night and he fell asleep on the
couch and waking up in the middle of the night and seeing where
he was at but didn't get up to go to the bedroom. He was afraid
but afraid of what? Now it was coming together, he wasn't married
to Cindy, he was just shacking up with her, she was a live-in. He
goes back to the verse and he starts reading it over and over,
putting it in his spirit. About an hour later, Cindy comes into
the living room and sits down beside Joe. She gives him a hug.
Joe looks at Cindy straight into her beautiful brown eyes and
says, "Honey, I am memorizing scriptures!" She says, "That is
wonderful Joe, why don't we do it together." Joe is quiet for a
spilt second and says, "Sure honey! I am working on this one as
he quotes it to her, "But fornication, and all uncleanness, or
covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh
saints;" Cindy listened and as he spoke the last word, a tear
started running down her face. Joe thought that he was imagining
it but he looked again and saw that he wasn't. He then says,
"Cindy, what's wrong?" Cindy almost blurts it out, "Joe, I was
afraid to come in here when I finished the dishes. I didn't know
what to tell you but I knew that something was different, I can't
go to bed with you anymore. We are not married, we are just
living together and I know it is not right." Joe sighed and said,
"Cindy, I love you and I agree with you. Do you not think that I
have the same God living in me and he will not tell me also?"
Cindy was crying now. Joe hugs her and says, "Honey, let's get
married!" Cindy looks up at Joe through her tear stained eyes,
with the make up running. "Joe, I thought you would never ask!"
By that time Joe is on one knee putting a rubber band around her
finger. Since he quit cigars yesterday, he didn't have a cigar
band so he figured that a rubber band would do. And that is the
only rubber that he wants anything to do with.
